Christopher Dennis is an accomplished surfer and free-diver from Trinidad & Tobago. He was raised in the coastal fishing village of Balandra where he ventured into surfing as a child He would go on to become a pro in the sport, representing Trinidad & Tobago at surfing's World Qualifying Series for a few years. He also focused his efforts in helping to improve the sport locally by coaching and mentoring young and upcoming talent. In 2018, Dennis teamed up with the Positive Vibe Warriors Foundation from California to help the organization acquire surfing equipment for youths. In June 2019, Dennis co-founded the nonprofit organization Waves for Hope, offering youth and community development through surf therapy programs for at-risk youths in underserved communities.

The "Wade in the Water" limited-edition portrait series showcases activists, pioneers, and future leaders in SoCal’s BIPOC surf community adorned with the leaves of Afrocarpus gracilior, aka the African Fern Pine.
