  • The Waterworks 184 San Marco Avenue St. Augustine, FL, 32084 United States (map)

Join us for a special showing of the award-winning documentary "Wade In The Water: A Journey Into Black Surfing and Aquatic Culture," honoring Juneteenth and the Civil Rights history of St. Augustine.

📅 Date: Friday, June 21st
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM (Doors open at 6:30 PM)
📍 Venue: The Waterworks, 184 San Marco

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the St. Johns Cultural Council, The Waterworks, and St. Augustine Film Society for their support. The event is free, but we graciously accept donations to help defray some of the film production costs.

Meet the filmmaker, David Mesfin, who spent his younger years in St. Augustine and learned to surf with the local community. We're also working on getting speakers from the historic 1964 St. Augustine Wade-In at the pier to answer questions after the movie.

Come join us for an evening of history, culture, and community!
