The #WadeintheWater team is honored to be featured in @caaminla’s “Black California Dreamin’: Claiming Space in the America’s Leisure Frontier” exhibition! Curated by Alison Rose Jefferson, this exhibition walks you through the powerful history of Black Angelenos and other Californians who worked to make leisure here an open, inclusive reality in the first half of the twentieth century. 

Come see a 20-minute sneak peak at #WadeintheWater as well as portraits of surfers Rick Block and Jessa Williams. We'll be featured among historical photographs and memorabilia along with other contemporary artworks that depict Black leisure.
