Wade in the Water: A Journey into Black Surfing and Aquatic Culture.

This groundbreaking documentary weaves together untold stories of Black surfers - past and present - while reclaiming the rich, thousand-year legacy of Black connection to water. Through stunning visuals, deep history, and modern-day testimony, the film dives into the ways Black communities have been pushed to the margins of surf culture and how they're reclaiming the waves, the water, and the narrative. ✨

Featuring a special guest Q&A with the Film Director David Mesfin following the screening! 🌱 All ages welcome. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and curiosity. 🍿 Light refreshments provided. Free and open to the public. Let’s gather to celebrate joy, resistance, and our enduring ties to water.
